Longarm Quilting
LONGARM STITCHING
Wall hangings to king-size. Prices are by the square inch. Minimum charge of $50 regardless of size for design, communication, pressing, loading, and quilting.
Computerized Edge 2 Edge: $0.03/sq inch
Semi-Custom: 1-3 patterns w/ different border and/or cornerstone pattern 0.05/sq inch
Custom: from 4 different patterns w/ different border and/or cornerstone pattern to full on customization with consultation and computerized mock-up $0.08-$0.35/sq inch
Example: 60” x 60” finished quilt including a 5” border = 3600 sq inches:
E2E: 3600 sq inches x $0.03 = $108
Semi-custom: 3600 sq inches x $0.05 = $180
Custom: 3600 sq inches x $0.07 = $288 - $1260
BATTING
You may supply your own or purchase batting from me. Batting must be at least 4 inches larger than the quilt top on all four sides. I use small business and USA-made American Fiber Products high quality batting. This batting permits finished quilts to be machine washed and dried on the delicate cycle.
Hobbs 80% cotton/20% polyester: No chemicals or bleaching. Long staple cotton and soft polyester. Shrinkage 3-5%. 96” wide for $10/yard.
BACKING
Backing must be at least 4 inches larger than the quilt top on all 4 sides. Can be of a single swath or pieced with seam pressed open to lie flatter and load easier. Backing should be neatly ironed. Backing should be squared prior to arrival. Please identify the top of the quilt backing with a safety pin. Additional charges may apply:
Back Pressing: $25/hour for inadequate ironing
Back Squaring: $25/hour
Back Seaming: $25/hour
THREAD
I use Superior Threads. For best results, I recommend the same thread type and color for the top and bottom. I will match the thread to the color of your quilt unless you identify a specific color.
Polyester wrapped cotton: So Fine 50# and Magnifico 40# $4.00 per bobbin used (full or portion)
Custom: If I must purchase other thread to meet your requirements, other charges may apply
QUILT PREPARATION
Quilt tops should be sewn with seams pressed to the side if any ditch stitching is desired. All others can be pressed open or to the side. Quilt tops should be clean, free of loose threads and as square as possible. I will do my best to work in natural quilting imperfections and discuss with areas of concern with you.
ADDITIONAL/OPTIONAL CHARGES
BINDING
Quilts will be returned ready for you to bind yourself. Trimming offered free of charge to the edge of the quilt with all remnants returned to you. If you prefer an additional 1/4" please be sure to let me know during your consultation. Binding preparation and sewing available upon request.
Options:
I can sew your binding on to the front and back by machine OR fully prepare your binding and hand sew it to the back OR anything in-between.

SLEEVE FOR HANGING
Made from muslin or fabric provided by customer.
4" Competition-Approved Sleeve: $25/hour
LABEL
Personal computerized label using EQ printables fabric sheets. Size and text to be approved by quilt owner but might include quilt name, quilter, story of quilt, message, or date. Hand-sewn on back of quilt.
