A huge shout out to Sara from Thread Maven Stitching for creating a beautiful memory quilt for our dog who we had to put down due to cancer. I saved his bandannas that he received from his groomer and wanted a quilt made from these. I contacted Sara from the Thread Maven Stitching website and she responded quickly stating that she could do this for me. I was thrilled and we met in person the next day and we loved her ideas for the quilt. Sara completed our beautiful quilt in 5-7 business days while sending me pics of her progress. Sara is great! Hands down the most detailed oriented and pleasant alterations person I've ever worked with. Sara has now altered 3 different flower girl dresses and two sundresses for me. Two of the flower girl dresses required extensive revisions. Every single dress has come back beautifully sized to perfection and steamed. Sara takes the stress out of alterations, and add fun instead, along with the piece of mind knowing that it is going to come out right every time. She likes sewing and appreciates a good fit and it shows.

My daughter LOVED sewing with Sara. Each lesson she came home with a fun creation that she had dreamed up and then made with Sara's guidance. Every lesson they created something that was legitimately cool and totally functional.
Sara love for sewing and teaching is easily apparent is only outshone by her talent. I love how Sara would run with my daughter's ideas, and make them come alive. Sara is talented enough to manage all audibles. I could tell that my daughter felt heard and respected and free to unleach her creativity, make mistakes and really learn. Sara instilled a sense of confidence and can-do attitude in my daughter as they worked out how to incorporate and idea or solve a sewing conundrum.
My favorite part was watching my child beam with pride during and after each lesson knowing that she could make her dreams come to life. I was so fun to see my daughter's excitement matched by someone with gobs of talent who is equally excited to teach the art of sewing.

Years ago, I inherited a quilt topper that my great grandmother started in the 1940's. I asked Sara to finish it for me. I knew that with Sara's keen eye for design and colors, it would be finished nicely. It turned out beautifully! I now have a beautiful quilt with matching pillow shams. I can't thank Sara enough.
